Wonderful stay!

I was charmed by the staff's helpfulness. They created a genuinely cute atmosphere. The hotel's position offers lovely views from above. Buses. I explored places like Whitby!
The room furniture seemed quite dated and showed wear. I noticed the curtains were hanging slightly off the track. This detail could use some attention to match the overall experience.

Our sea view room had a triple bay window and provided ample natural light. The room was clean and housekeeping was thorough each day. Blackout curtains effectively blocked light.

The staff are friendly and professional. I found them to be organized and attentive. The team quickly handled any requests. Every staff member greeted me with smiles.

The hotel provides direct beach access for convenient seaside strolls. I loved the shore. There is also a steam railway nearby, which offers easy transportation, and the coastal trail is easily accessible, too. The elegant lounge is very comfortable.

Breakfast included a variety of choices and the food was well-served. I noted that the restaurant provided options for those with special dietary requests. The brasserie features modern British cuisine with regional produce.

Acceptable, but Room for Improvement
dated furnitureuncomfortable bed
I noticed a distinct lack of attention to detail. The promised sea view included a charming view of a shipping container. Inside, the furniture looked straight out of a bygone era and desperately needed updating. The beds also was like two singles shoved together. That did NOT make for a restful night.

The sea view all around was acceptable. I even watched dolphins. Tea and coffee were available. fluffy white towels.
The musty damp smell assaulted me as I walked to my room. I think the smell came from the bathroom. The net curtains looked like they had never been washed. the bed consisted of two singles pushed together, so sleeping was quite uncomfortable.

fantastic stay, again!

The staff were really good. simon the manager, reception, waiting staff, bar staff, coffee shop staff, and cleaners were all fantastic. the rooms were beautifully clean and spacious. We always had great views. the hotel location is well situated for the spa theatre.

The food had adequate variety at both breakfast and dinner. the service was good, and the portions were satisfying. Coffee was always available. there were multiple options.
