the BREAKFAST was a good spread with hot items cooked to order. the room WAS clean tidy and comfortable. the pool IS great at this warm comfortable hotel.
the FIRE alarm went off at 01.30 and it would have been welcome to have received a proactive apology instead of reactive at check out.

The location is QUITE handy when visiting the city center.
My room was apparently located above some shop. I was woken up at around 5:30am every morning by staff clattering around. The noise was an issue as I needed sleep for my physical job. the pillows were unbelievably uncomfortable.

The location was very central. Walking straight into the main square was easy. i found the staff pleasant and efficient throughout my stay, a plus. the breakfast offered a nice variety.
The room soundproofing was subpar. I could hear noise from outside.
