The hotel is in the town centre. The location worked well for my needs. The staff was helpful during check in. I received assistance with my luggage.
The entrance had many cigarette ends outside, it was not a good first impression. The corridors looked unclean. There were tools in the way. The carpet in my room had stains.

the location was perfect for accessing local eateries and pubs. it was a great convenience.
My room was not at all like the photos online. The decor was very different. the floor sloped so badly it. this is not something i have ever experienced in a hotel before.

Simple Comfort in a Great Spot

The hotel is very close to the town center. I found the bus stop to Stansted Airport and the train station very close. The staff was friendly, and the room had nice, clean, white bedding. I slept really well.

The landlady was very cute upon arrival. This made for a positive first impression. The staff answered emails very late and were reassuring, which I really appreciated. Staff friendliness and accommodation exceeded the price paid.

The room had a comfortable bed, but the pillows were quite hard. The ensuite bathroom seemed new. Plenty of tea bags and instant coffee sachets were provided in the room. This was great.

the condition of the room was not good. i found mold on the wall. the room generally did not seem very clean. i dont think ill be returning anytime soon.

The location provided easy access. It was close to many useful spots in the area. I found the room and bathroom super clean. The level of cleanliness allowed genuine relaxation, without the need to wipe everything down upon arrival. The staff member offered a warm welcome. She was helpful with directions to the bus stop.
The hotel lacked some more modern features. It could benefit from updates in certain areas.
