Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Drunken Duck Inn is often praised for its scenic and peaceful location in the countryside, though the exterior's rear appearance has struck some as a bit worn. Guests frequently enjoy the spacious and prettily decorated rooms, along with the bar's great selection of wines and beers, creating a cosy Cumbrian pub atmosphere enhanced by a real fire. The breakfast stands out, featuring an original menu with delicious, locally sourced food and generous portions, especially the mushroom parfait which some found comparable to Michelin-starred cuisine.

Mixed Experience at Lakeland

friendly staffuncomfortable mattresslimited food selection
The staff was friendly. (That's about it, honestly.)
The room was not good. I found the spring divan mattress very uncomfortable. It was like whack-a-mole every time I moved. The food selection was disappointing. The dinner menu was set for the week and offered very limited options. If you are not vegetarian or have any food intolerance, prepare to be stuck with few choices.
