the hotel offered a free upgrade to a beautiful double room with a balcony, quite a treat (it.). the location is fantastic, right in the heart of everything, easy for walking to the castle and pubs. i managed to park at the george hotel across the road, which cost £12.50 for the night and was very convenient. the shower was really good and there were tea and coffee facilities available in the room.

The room was a bit warm and there was only a fan available. It had to run all night and was slightly noisy.

the location was spot on! i liked a modern feel. the staff at the george were great. it was a convenient central location.
