The reception staff were lovely. I arrived before check in. I could leave the car, so I could get on with the day. Check in was swift. I was shown to my room within minutes.
The shower over bath is so outdated and provides a poor spray. The room was tired. It needs a refurb. I could not turn bedside lights on individually. It was either both or neither.

The hotel had convenient on-site parking behind the building. I found a swimming pool and steam room available for use. The hotel is also near good dining options. Many are within a short walk.
The floorboards in my room creaked a lot.

I stayed in a family king room non-smoking. The room contained tea and coffee making facilities. I did find an iron and an ironing board available for my use. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the hotel.
The hotel decor looked tired. Soft furnishings appear quite dated. The carpets seemed old.

The staff were friendly and helpful. my room was very comfy and tidy with sufficient hanging space for clothes. the breakfast was well presented and tasty. I found it very satisfying.
The cold tap in my bathroom did not supply running water. there were no draft beers available. I could only get cans or wine.

the breakfast was great. the staff were friendly and helpful. i also appreciated that the hotel had a heated swimming pool and steam room.
