the room had tea and coffee making facilities, i guess that was acceptable.
The floors creaked like crazy. It was like living in an old pirate ship. the carpets looked like abstract art but not in a good way. Definitely stained. i think the hotel could use a major overhaul. It felt old.

i found the receptionist friendly. the room was spacious and clean. the location worked well for my trip, and parking availability was convenient. i appreciated the king size bed (it really made a difference after a long drive).
the water pressure in the shower was a little weak.

the hotel is situated in a quiet area, easily accessible from the motorway. it's a good base for exploring the surrounding areas and attractions, and there's ample parking available.

the hotel has undergone refurbishment in the restaurant and bar areas. the rooms are a good size (mine included a king size bed), and there is also a new cafe on the premises.

the room was clean and tidy. i found the shower lovely. there was plenty of parking available, a plus.
the room felt very dated. things were removed from the walls and not touched up, i noticed. the mattress needs changing as the springs popped when i sat on it. walking to the room, i could smell smoke even though its no smoking.

I enjoyed having a drink in the lovely bar area upon arrival. My room was nice and neat, and parking was plentiful. The staff provided excellent service, and I felt very welcome throughout my stay.
The floorboards in the hallway creaked quite a bit.

The hotel offers disabled parking spaces located at the back of the building, and these spaces are plentiful. There is also a dessert bar inside, with little extras like homemade cakes and gelato available for purchase. It was AMAZING!!!

Adequate Stay, Some Disappointments

The heater made clicking noises throughout the night, this disturbed my sleep. My children complained that their beds felt uncomfortable. They were also at floor level, I noticed they banged their heads on the furniture a couple of times when they moved in the night. I felt the children's meals were very poor. The hotdog and fish fingers looked burnt.

the restaurant staff was friendly. the pizza was great. the room was adequate for what i needed (no frills).
the corridor floor creaked loudly at every step. the window in my room would not close completely. the bar was already closed at 10:00 p.m. so i could not get a snack or a drink.

the room was basic. the beautiful family room was newly decorated and a totally different experience. the accessible room was very spacious, including all the right grab rails and a shower seat.

the staff members were polite and cute. they sorted the noisy guests from the room above. nothing was too much trouble. the staff was friendly at the bar.

the hotel is in a quiet area. it is not far from the m1. it had a good location and value (i think). there are car chargers in the parking area.
