I found the permit parking outside very convenient (it cost £7 per night). Staff were friendly and let me check in early. My room was a fantastic size and included a clean en suite bathroom.
The shower temperature fluctuated a little.

The hotel is close to the city center. I did not need a car. Tourist locations are within walking distance. Shambles Korner restaurant is close to the hotel.

the room size was decent, i guess.
the shower was a joke. it alternated between freezing and scalding hot with no control. then, it just stopped working entirely while i was covered in soap. also, the wi-fi never worked, made planning my sightseeing rather difficult. apply:

I was charmed by how helpful the staff were. I had a package delivered and they kept it safe! I also appreciated their willingness to store our luggage while we explored before check-in. The team saved us a lot of hassle. The room itself was super clean.
The noise from the street at night was a slight issue. It is a main road, I believe, so there were some sounds.
