Central Stay with a View
plentiful tea many channels central location
The provided tea and coffee were plentiful, just what i needed. The big tv in the room offered many channels. The location is central, a definite win for exploring.. it really is.
Some paintwork looked worn. This area needs some attention.

The big television in the room allowed for easy viewing and a variety of entertainment options. There was consistent hot water available for showers, which i very much value at the end of the day, especially in colder weather. The complimentary tea and coffee making facilities were restocked daily.

Staff ensured the room had ample supplies of tea, coffee, and sugar throughout my stay. Reception clearly communicated details regarding local parking options and nearby attractions. Check-in was seamless and efficient, a welcome start to my visit, i found.

The hotel is situated close to several local eateries, a real bonus for dining out. Its central positioning provided simple access to main attractions. Public transport links are also nearby, facilitating travel to other areas, for me.

super clean condition helpful owner great view
I appreciated the super clean condition of the hotel. the owner was very helpful. I noticed she always checked to ensure everything was okay. i also loved that i could see the tower from my room (it was quite a sight!).
the location can be very noisy at night because it is right behind a popular entertainment area.

my double room included tea, coffee, and sugar. the bed was comfortable with a very thick big pillow (this was a bliss!). the room was very clean indeed.

the landlady allowed me to choose a quieter room. she even shared a story about struggling to sleep in one of the rooms herself. the staff was friendly and helpful.

great room, close to everything!
fabulous location roomy shower clean room hot water
the location is just fabulous! i was only a minute walk from the seafront, the tower, tram, and bus stops. the coach station, shops, and restaurants were super close too. i also had a roomy ensuite shower with plenty of hot water, a real plus after a day out! the rooms felt clean and well presented.
the radiator looked a little rusty.

while i did not dine at the hotel itself, i noted several restaurant options just a quick walk from the building and these offered various cuisines, great for exploring culinary choices and experiencing different food.

i was so impressed by how friendly and helpful the owner always was! they greeted me with a smile and always checked how my day was going, ready with local tips and recommendations, superb!

the wifi worked reliably and without any problems during my whole stay and this allowed me to stay connected and handle all my work needs so easily, such a useful amenity for any traveller.

The staff were helpful. But the mattress was horrible. it needs replacing and the kettle was dirty. i think they need a black bag and a new kettle put there.

dark hallway torn wallpaper
the room was clean, that was acceptable.
the hallway was dark on entering and it felt dingy. there was no wardrobe space, which wasn't good as i had clothes that needed hanging. i saw torn wallpaper too, so the decor was poor.

outdated decor blurry tv
The location was acceptable, providing convenient access to nearby attractions.
The room was rather disappointing. The outdated decor featured dark gray walls I found quite depressing. The TV was a projector screen but, alas, it became blurry on the second night, despite my best attempts to adjust it. (I really tried!)
