the location was good. it was very close to the motorway. the bar and restaurants seemed lovely. the staff was very kind.
the food served in the restaurant was overpriced. nachos cost £8.50, but they were basic. the lasagne was mushy, and a lot of the food seemed microwaved.

amazing stay!

The location is PERFECT for exploring the peak district and it is just off the main road. i couldn't hear any traffic, so i slept really well! i had a suite room, and it was perfect with a lovely terrace and a seating area. It was a great size and quite a surprise.
i stayed in a suite, but i was a little disappointed with the room size.

The hotel is ideally situated for accessing the peak district's attractions. it is conveniently close to main routes. This provides easy access, yet the area remains peaceful and quiet with minimal traffic noise, so AMAZING!!!

The staff showed their friendly side and were helpful with queries I had. I found the food to be excellent, both for breakfast and dinner. The hotel location was convenient for onward travel. I used it as a base to get to Wentworth Woodhouse.
The bed was large but not very comfortable. I COULD feel the springs in the bed. There was noise from a party outside. The party was in a marquee outside my room, and it impacted sleep.

the super clean room had nice decoration. a heated towel rail was a plus in the shower room. i enjoyed the restaurant options for both saturday dinner and breakfast. the reception staff was helpful and efficient.
the kettle was too close to the bed. it was also placed a bit high on the wall.

the dim lighting upon arrival created a less than inviting first impression. the room felt cold initially, a slight disappointment before it warmed up.

a mixed bag, i guess
small barfirm bed
the suite seemed smaller than expected. there was no phone in the room, i needed that. the single, small bar of soap seemed a bit cheap. also, the bed was very firm, which really hurt my back and kept me awake.

I found friendly staffs here. Breakfast was good and the hotel overall felt just nice. The hotel has a good feel to it, it's hidden away and I glad we found it. I like proximity to motorway.
The bed in our suite felt awful with springs stick in you. I noticed also there no plug for bath. Toilet seat was stained yellow to me. I not liked the yellow stain.
