EXCELLENT stay!
clean room comfortable bed minor detail
My room was clean and very comfortable. The bed provided amazing support. Sockets need updating with usb ports but that is minor. I would HIGHLY recommend this place.
I found that car parking directly outside the lodge was difficult. There were more vehicles parked than rooms available. It required parking in the larger car park.

excellent stay
decorated room powerful shower ample sockets
the room was beautifully decorated and super clean. a powerful shower was available. i found great facilities included with the room, such as an ironing board and plenty of plug sockets. the location is also quiet and picturesque on the fossdyke canal.
the carpets had some mud stains, a small inconvenience.

the restaurant offered a great selection of food to choose from for the evening meal. i particularly enjoyed the sauvignon blanc. the breakfast was delicious, with freshly made scrambled eggs and bacon.

the lodge provided great outdoor seating to enjoy a drink by the canal. indoor seating was also plentiful. the location offers a short walk along the canal to the city, eliminating parking concerns.

an underwhelmed experience
fatty beef disinterested staff
the bed was indeed comfortable, i slept decently.
sunday lunch was bad though. the beef had too much fat and i struggled to cut through it and the mashed potato wasn't hot enough. the staff didn't seem to care much when i mentioned these problems.

warm room concerning stains
the room was quite warm. a small fan did little to alleviate the heat. i also found concerning stains on the cushions, not a pleasant discovery. the shower drained slowly, and the breakfast lacked variety, with what seemed to be low-quality beans.

delicious biscuits coffee machine romantic ambiance
the rooms featured a coffee machine and fresh biscuits, we appreciated that. the building's proximity to the canal added to the romantic ambiance, we loved it! the super clean room and supremely comfortable bed gave me the perfect night's sleep.
