acceptable stay, some minor issues
clean room maintained room central location small bed standard room exposed pipework
the room was clean and well maintained. i appreciated the central location it offered to various places. the staff was friendly and always ready to help.
the room i had was a standard one yet, it was sold as beautiful. the double bed was a bit small for my liking. also, the bathroom was quite old with exposed pipes.

good staff comfortable bed fab shower excellent breakfast
i found the staff good. THE bed was comfortable, and the shower was fabulous. the room was well appointed. i also ate here and the food was fantastic. the breakfast was excellent.
maybe a little indoor seating around the bar area would improve it that are staying for a few days.

the breakfast included tea and coffee. individual bottles of juice were provided. little jars of jam and marmalade were available and a full English breakfast was also an option.

amazing food and excellent service!
fantastic food comfortable room great breakfast
the food was fantastic! i had a great risotto and breakfast was the best i have had in a long time. the rooms are very comfortable and clean. it was a perfect place for me to stay when working close by.
the parking lot could use some extra lighting at night.

the food was mind blowing and the amount of different beers and drinks also adds to the experience. the breakfast was equally delicious and served so well. the restaurant was perfect and deserves a visit from michelin.

the location was great for a stop prior to heading for the port. the hotel is near harwich ferry. it is a very short walk to the pub itself. i had easy access from the car park.

the staff was friendly and helpful
the room was smaller than i expected the bathroom fixtures looked dated and the shower pressure was quite weak i also noticed some exposed pipework in the bathroom it detracted from the overall appearance

the staff were attentive and polite. the food impressed me (especially the steak). the breakfast choices were excellent. i appreciated the variety of drinks available at the bar.
