the staff were cheerful, very good.
bedroom 8 lacks privacy, overlooked by the path and a glamping tent (i felt exposed). the cooked breakfast was great, but no fruit or cereal was available. i was disappointed by the limited breakfast options.

The pub had a very warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly. The location was excellent for visiting Highclere Castle. It was less than 5 minutes away. I found parking right by the front door.

we had a family meal and the service was excellent. all the food came out hot and promptly. portions were generous. the staff were friendly, meeting all our needs.
the room was a bit tired, some of the furniture showing wear.

the restaurant offered a varied menu with several choices. breakfast included top-quality options with a very helpful host. the log burning fire provided a lovely ambiance during dinner, it was really pleasant.

plenty of outdoor seating was available. there was also a covered area suitable for rainy weather. ample parking spaces were available, with easy access, it was really useful.

I experienced a typical English charm I adored. Highclere Castle is a quick 15-minute walk I enjoyed a lot. Staff members were amazing they were very helpful and caring.
The hot water only runs briefly then stops I had to restart it.

the parking was good.
The room was not great. The carpets were worn. the shower holder was inadequate, i practically had to take a bath which i don't really like. the toilet seat wouldn't stay up and the floor was not sealed.
