a few hiccups
early bar closure
my room was on the third floor, i hauled everything up myself. also, the bar closed way too early. i wanted a nightcap after a long day, but no luck. the remnants of the previous diners food remained on the table and floor.

zayaan at reception was especially helpful she kindly helped with my luggage. the bed was large and the curtains blocked the early light. the terrace offered lovely river views and the adjacent parkland was perfect for walks. on-site parking was very useful.
the controls for the room heater were not intuitive needing assistance to understand its operation

The room had ample parking (which is always a plus). I was given a room on the top floor of the lodge, it was quite spacious. The bathroom was clearly refurbished, the shower was amazing.
There was no mini fridge in the room. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, i noticed a damp smell. I was unable to open the windows, some were painted shut and bugs flew in (when others were opened).

the river view from the balcony was amazing. the bar staff were friendly, they makes you feel welcome. the room was super clean and cozy, i am happy with this. breakfast included lots of choices and i appreciate that.
i have to mention the stairs were a bit difficult, especially with luggage.

the hotel boasts an very nice location directly on the river's edge, it gives you a peaceful retreat. walking to a nearby island nature park is easy and adds charm. i felt very close to the water.
