The Parkwood Hotel is frequently praised for offering good value, especially for its meals; the beef dinner, complete with pigs in blankets and gravy, gets special mention. Guests often enjoy the bar's wide selection of drinks and the large TV for watching sports. good drink selectionlarge tvwell-cooked beef
The bar had a good selection of drinks! There was also a large TV available for watching sports. The beef dinner included well-cooked beef and pigs in blankets. nice gravy.
The green LED from the fire escape light made the room quite bright at night.

stained towelsstale smoke
the lack of attention to detail bothered me. the promised 'fresh towels' were stained, and the room smelled faintly of stale smoke despite being a 'non-smoking' room. i also found a previous guest's sock under the bed, which really made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. (honestly, how hard is it to vacuum?)

friendly staffcomfortable bedclean roomsmall portion sizeunreliable systemmissing item
The staff WERE helpful and friendly. My room included a king-size bed, comfortable. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the hotel generally.
The portion sizes for dinner felt a bit small. Calls did not connect. The food quality was disappointing. Some items were missing from the dishes.

underwhelming meal

beautiful outdoor areasmall portion sizeunwelcoming server
the outdoor area had a beautiful design and reminded me of vacation.
i visited after the change in ownership and was not impressed. the young server seemed unhappy and unwelcoming. the portion sizes matched a child's meal despite being ordered as adult portions, leaving us unsatisfied even after ordering desserts. i would not return.

I appreciated the very comfy bed in my King Room. The meals was superb too, especially the Sunday lunch. The owners are helpful, they provided quick service. Free parking are available on-site.
I have to order cooked breakfast 24 hours in advance. It feels very strict.

The hotel is located near a lovely large outdoor space. It also has a beer garden, which seems well-kept and enclosed. The spot is busy with families and couples, a good sign.
