friendly atmospheregreat baraverage food
i found friendly atmosphere. the team here really made it a friendly, relaxing environment, especially as a lone female! nothing was too much trouble for them. the bar was great too.
the food was very average, and the meal i had in the evening was way overpriced! it wasn't even takeaway quality, very disappointing, especially as i was looking forward to it. it also took 45 minutes to arrive.

the hotel has plenty of parking available , a great convenience for those driving! the bar offers a good selection of drinks, and there is a menu with choices for everyone, not just pub grub. breakfast was substantial.

the hotel is ideally located in a lovely rural area! it is a good spot for exploring the area or for business. the setting is very peaceful and offers a great escape from the city.

the staff were lovely, friendly, and were pretty good too assist with any needs! they were also very polite and helpful, informing me about the late return information. it was a pleasure to interact with them !

The staff were friendly and approachable. The hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It set us up well for the day.
The hotel needs some TLC. It looks a little worn. The car park needs fixing. My car scraped the bottom. The pictures on the website must be very old as it doesn't look like it anymore.

i found a few issues , and i feel disappointed. the breakfast buffet was underwhelming with cold items and cheap sausages , i expected better quality. also , the pastries seemed to have been touched by multiple people , it was off putting. the car park needs repairs because my car scraped the bottom on it.

the location was okay, near the river. it WAS pretty quiet.
the food definitely underwhelmed me. i mean, the breakfast buffet HAD some issues with cold food. also, i noticed pastries people had touched already. kind of off-putting, you know.

the rooms were spacious. parking was available right at the front. it was also conveniently next to the pub for food and drinks.
the room's electricity had a definite fault that needs fixing. turning on all the lights at once caused a total loss of electricity. i had to go to the main hotel to find someone to fix it. it took a while to find keys and flip a switch to turn it on again

The room faced the river tees. The countryside views were excellent. the room was well maintained. It provided comfort for my family.

a slightly disappointing experience
lumpy mattressbathroom mould
the room i had was quite small. it barely qualified as a double room, honestly. the bed had a mattress that felt really lumpy. plus, the bathroom really needed some work, i see mould in the shower, and the door didnt close as it should. the breakfast, was sadly nothing special, it was just mediocre.
