suite upgrade kind gesture quiet atmosphere
I received a room upgrade to a suite. cakes awaited me as a kind gesture for a birthday celebration. The suite felt roomy and well appointed. I noticed the quiet atmosphere despite the central location.
the air CONDITIONING wasn't working, made the room very hot.

the staff demonstrated friendliness and support. they are ready to help with inquiries guests may have. the receptionist assisted efficiently by securing a taxi on very short notice when i was late.

unclean bathroom floor insufficient heating
The room was clean initially. however, i did notice the bathroom floor wasn't properly cleaned (there were some hairs). the heating wasn't great. I found myself turning it up quite high and still feeling a bit chilly. i had hoped for a warmer stay (especially considering the weather).

the hotel provided excellent communication. breakfast impressed me, with choices. a cooked breakfast was available, prepared just how i liked it. self-service coffee and cereals were also convenient.
The parking wasn't directly connected. It was a short walk away.

central location coffee machine seamless communication improved breakfast
The hotel location is fantastic for exploring the city center. the coffee machine in the room was a lovely addition. the staff ensured my stay was seamless. I found their communication excellent. breakfast selection had improved. I liked the cooked breakfast option alongside the self-service coffee and cereals.
the lighting in the room could have been better, it felt a little dim.

The room was clean, with a nice design. The bed was comfortable. The hotel's location near Union Street is convenient. Staff members were friendly and efficient.
The building's safety protocols felt a little inconsistent. I was told to ring the doorbell after midnight.

Acceptable but With Issues
broken air conditioning street noise
The air conditioning did not work. A spanner symbol flashed on the control panel. I had to open the window, I suffered from the heat because of street noise. The hotel provided only two pillows. This seems petty, I like to sleep higher.
