the hotel location was acceptable.
The room i received was far from quiet. A function occurred nearby. it was loud with constant corridor noise and sounds from the car park going beyond 1am.. i ended up checking out at 1:30am. the hotel's response to my complaint was rude and unprofessional, as they denied everything.

the room was very clean. it had a great size overlooking the lake and it was comfortable. i loved the tea and coffee in the room. i enjoyed the large dining room and choice of food for breakfast, also the fairly good choice on menu for dinner.
on arrival, the hotel sort of looks very grand but you walk in, you're back in the 80s. the hotel hasn't been decorated since then, it's very outdated and needs some refurbishment. i had an issue with the tv not working on the first night, so reception moved our room for us. the welcome booklet in the room is really detailed, down to describing the carpets in the corridors.

the hotel provided free on-site parking which was very convenient. my room was a good size.. it was a twin room, and it had comfortable beds. breakfast had a good selection.
the decor feels a bit dated.

a few issues
small bathroomfaulty shower
the check-in was a mess. i had requested a quiet room in an email before arriving. the receptionist just glanced at the screen and said she didn't see it. we had to walk up the stairs in the dark. the bathroom was small and the shower didn't work well.
