the staff was particularly friendly. the hotel was situated very close to two different tram stops. it was easy to get everywhere in the city. i appreciated that the hotel was very clean and the location was great (i walked to museums).
the room was described as "small", which was accurate (i thought it could be a bit bigger).

Mixed Feelings About This Hotel
small bedroom size
The room size was a real issue for me. It was advertised as a 'small double room', but that turned out to mean the bed itself was small. A 140 cm wide bed lost about 10 cm on each side due to uneven firmness I found that very frustrating.

The location was excellent. It was within walking distance of many museums. A bus stop offered transport directly to the airport. The building itself had a beautiful historical feel.
The room had no air conditioning, so I was uncomfortable at night. The hotel was also quite noisy. I could hear doors slamming and people coming and going.

the hotel's location near the museumplein proved convenient. i found it simple to reach various museums. the nearby tram stop made travel to central station very easy. the hotel staff remembered me and my room number, a personal touch i noticed.
the bathroom was quite compact, a minor inconvenience.
