The White Horse & Griffin enjoys a superb location in the heart of Whitby, placing guests within easy reach of key attractions like the Abbey, Whalebone Arch, and the Harbour - all just a short walk away, even accessible from the train station. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, some of which, like the family rooms, are surprisingly large and quiet, while April Cottage offers the convenience of amenities like a washing machine and dishwasher. The breakfast is a highlight for many, and although some guests have noted minor maintenance issues in certain rooms, the hotel's restaurant is widely praised, particularly for dishes like the grilled chicken, making it a convenient and enjoyable dining option.

the location was great, putting me right in the heart of everything. the breakfast was good, i especially enjoyed the eggs florentine!!! the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
my room was a bit chilly when i arrived, i believe the heating should have been activated earlier. i found a lot of stairs to reach my room from reception. the last flight of stairs was very steep and went around a corner, a challenge with luggage.
