a surprisingly GOOD stay
friendly stafffree parkinglimited hour
the staff at the front desk was particularly friendly and helpful. I appreciated the free parking available, easy to come and go. it was quite important. the breakfast included many options and began early, so that i could leave early.
the hours are limited. the outside area was not accessible on a sunny day. i could not have a drink outside. it was a great shame.

mixed feelings about the stay
poor ventilationstrange odours
The room felt stuffy. there was almost no air circulation, and the temperature was uncomfortable. i asked for a fan. The receptionist gave me one. i also noticed strange smells near the fire doors, it wasn't pleasant. The hotel clearly needs an update.

the staff were cute and helpful when i needed to change rooms.
The hotel was noisy until 3 a.m. due to a party (i wish i knew about it beforehand). the hand basin also lacked a plug, and the windows barely opened. It was too warm being on the second floor.

delicious foodresponsive communication
especially charlie, after all). the afternoon tea we booked for my mum was delicious with generous portions. i especially appreciated the email communication prior to our arrival. It was very responsive and helpful.

Acceptable, but far from really good

The room had a heated towel rail, a feature I certainly appreciated.
The advertised pool tables were misleading. The promised room with three tables was gone. Only one table remained, located in the dining area, a place where meals were eaten. The smoking shelter became a gathering spot for individuals awaiting council housing, an uncomfortable situation for my partner, who was often bothered there.
