Comfortable Stay and Great Food

I appreciated the warm welcome I received at the bar. The staff showed me to my room quickly. The inn features a restaurant focused on steaks cooked on volcanic stone. A traditional bar with a pool table and darts is also available. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I liked the large portion sizes. The meat was tender and well-cooked. Staff were very polite and helpful. My room was spacious. I found the parking available very convenient. I enjoyed the discretion and privacy. Basic good accommodation with a clean tv, tea and coffee was provided. The shower was excellent. I found it to be great value for the price. The doggy mixed grill is great value and highly recommended.
The net curtain on the window looked a little grey.

the staff was very friendly and helpful. the food in the restaurant was amazing!!! the location was convenient for visiting other towns. i had plentiful tea and coffee making facilities in my room.
i think designated parking spaces for residents would be beneficial.

the location has shops nearby and offers an easy drive to different devon locations. the motorway proximity made travel quite simple. i was very happy with this.

Check-in was easy and I found plenty of parking spaces available. The downstairs restaurant had an amazing menu, it was great (especially the steaks!).
The bathroom for my room was down the hall (a bit inconvenient). I found some mould on the ceiling and toothpaste on the blinds in the bathroom too.

the room was clean and tidy i found tea and coffee readily available. the shower had good power and the water heated up quickly. checking in was easy because the staff were friendly and helpful
the flooring was quite creaky making it hard to move around quietly

The restaurant downstairs provided a great carvery and the prices were fair (I did enjoy it).
The room felt quite dated. My bathroom was not ensuite. It was down the hall, which I did not realize. The ceiling also had mould, and the blinds had toothpaste stains. It was far from ideal.

The check-in process was straightforward and I was welcomed early. The restaurant staff in the evening were excellent. They had a great menu. I found the steaks very popular and tasty. The room included a bed, a bathroom, a TV, and a kettle, which covered my needs.
The shower head would not stay in place .

the steakhouse food was amazing (i must say).
the rooms were very basic and not very comfortable. the beds were squeaky and i could hear all the outside traffic. it wasn't very relaxing.
