i was greeted with a warm welcome and found the staff helpful and friendly, a real plus! the village location is peaceful and quite attractive, really adding to the overall experience. the breakfast was delicious, i especially liked the eggs! the evening meals offered a broad menu enjoyed in a classic pub setting.
the tv remote in my room needed new batteries, it was a minor inconvenience.

The hotel boasts a good 'secret' garden at the rear with ample seating. There is also convenient parking . the pub offers several seating areas to relax in.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. the servers were lovely, smiling, polite, and very attentive, a big plus. i had one minor issue, and they did their best to accommodate it immediately.

the room had tea, coffee, and water provided, this was a thoughtful touch. it was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. the breakfast was an enjoyable full english, and the quality was amazing!!!

overcooked sausagesbill adjustment
the breakfast service disappointed me i found the sausages were too hard they seemed overcooked my mother agreed and she rarely complains the waitress apologised she spoke with the landlady but there was no adjustment to the bill this oversight negatively impacted the overall experience i expected better quality control and responsiveness to customer feedback

I enjoyed the well kept garden with plenty of seating. The garden flowers showed much thought and work. My room was clean and included tea making facilities.
The kettle was placed high on a shelf in the room.
