underwhelming stay
closed kitchenno dinner
the kitchen being closed when i arrived late was bad. i was tired and hungry after a long day, so this was a problem. finding dinner after this was difficult, the reason i booked this place was to have a meal at the pub. i wouldn't have booked if i knew that food wasn't available.

Pleasant Chalet Stay

I stayed in a chalet separate from the pub, located in a pretty courtyard. The bar guy was super friendly (i really felt welcome). The evening menu in the bar offered decent choices, and the food quality was good. I found it nice that the venue seemed to attract local residents.

The inn enjoys convenient access to the motorway and is well-situated. It provides an ideal base for exploring attractions in the countryside, including the nearby Newmarket races. free parking is available , a significant benefit.

I found the twin room to be fairly reasonable. The rooms are self-contained stable rooms, located away from the pub at the back of the main building. The accommodation was very good overall, with attention to detail.

The grounds were decorated with lush potted plants. There is an abundance of outdoor seating areas to relax. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, contributing positively to the overall experience.

The room was clean (and tidy). Staff members were friendly. The evening menu in the bar was decent. The venue attracts local residents from the village. The staff were all very friendly including the bar manager.
I had to travel a few miles for dinner. I expected a pub to be open and serving food. I chose the venue in the first place for that reason. If I had known, I would have booked another place.
