faulty blind substandard dinner
the room was super clean.
the roman blind was also faulty, thus impacting the natural light. additionally, the dinner was substandard. My fish and chips had overly thick, overcooked batter.

The hotel staff was very helpful. I enjoyed dinner one evening, finding it delicious. Breakfast was also excellent. I especially liked how fresh it tasted.
The room was somewhat dark, made using the mirror difficult.

broken blind dry chips
the location was acceptable, near essential amenities.
The room felt small considering it was a 'beautiful double room bath'. the blind did not work well, limiting natural light (i felt it should be fixed). dinner at the hotel was disappointing. My fish and chips had overcooked batter and dry chips.

Charming Stay, A Good Experience
quirky furnishing king size bed interesting object parking guideline
The room had quirky furnishings (a silver monkey held up the table). It also had a king size bed. I noticed lots of interesting objects on the landing. The staff gave me guidelines on parking times.
The breakfast service was somewhat slow.

The hotel is right on the high street. It is also close to restaurants and the river. I could park in the car park behind the hotel.

The breakfast selection was large and of good quality. The breakfast menu was very good (I had scrambled egg on sourdough with black pudding, it was very tasty!). Water and coffee bags were available in the room.

The staff were friendly and super helpful. The manager carried my bag to my room. Check-in was easy. Travel cot was given when requested.
