The hotel is near otsuka train station, and with ikebukuro one stop away, it made it easy to get on the main lines. i noticed there was a lawson and family mart in both directions. This made it very convenient (super useful for late-night snacks!). the otsuka train station had a good amount of shops within walking distance to grab all sorts of goodies for skincare, clothes, makeup, snacks, and desserts.

it occasionally took what was like forever to get out of the hotel during peak hours.

the onsen was a definite plus, especially after long days of sightseeing. it was located on an upper floor, so that was okay.

the room was small, even by city standards (i guess i should've expected it). i also found the centrally controlled ac system frustrating. i couldn't adjust the temperature to my liking, and the room was often too hot.

the onsen on the top floor felt great after a long day exploring, we loved it. a 7-eleven inside the building provided extra convenience for quick snacks and drinks. the location was superb, very close to the jr line station.

the room was quite small, it was difficult to open suitcases fully.
