inadequate soundproofing steel shutters

the location proved convenient, with easy access to nearby amenities.

The soundproofing was inadequate. i could clearly hear noise from adjacent rooms. additionally, the room lacked sufficient natural light. The steel shutters on the windows prevented opening them.
