The location was superb. the proximity to king's cross station was very convenient. the breakfast included a drip coffee maker and i found that to be a very nice amenity. The availability of actual drip coffee stood out.
the room i stayed in was quite small. i measured the distance between the walls, it was just under six feet at the bed. the water pressure in the shower was poor. the water would occasionally stop unexpectedly.

the location suited my travel plans well. staff were friendly and helpful, which i always appreciate. the room had been recently decorated and carpeted. the shower was modern and clean.
the room i stayed in faced the street. there was a lot of noise at night, sounding like drag racing. i had to keep the windows open because there was no air conditioning. breakfast had limited options. there wasn't much fresh fruit, just the same things every day.

weak pressure
i was allocated a room on one of the higher floors. climbing several flights of stairs with luggage proved tiring! the room, while adequate, lacked sufficient toiletries. Only a small bar of soap was provided. also, the water pressure in the shower was notably weak.

i got an upgrade to a room with a double and a single bed. it was quite random, but very clean. all amenities we needed were available.
the hallways needs some care. i can see they aren't investing money in its look. stairway rail has duct tape in many spots with paint over.
