Charming Stay near the Sea

room upgradeextra spaceconvenient entranceamusing companion
My stay included a complimentary room upgrade to the garden room which gave me much appreciated extra space. The cleanliness and upkeep were very well done I found. I particularly appreciated the convenient private entrance at the rear of the hotel. The on-site cat became an amusing companion and added a unique touch to my visit.
The shower pressure was regrettably a bit weak making it a little difficult to get a good wash.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast was quite good I thought and included options such as scrambled eggs and porridge. The homemade marmalade stood out a lot. You could even take some away. There was good choice available like cereal, orange juice, eggs, and toast.
Rooms
8/10
My room was sufficiently clean and also comfortable, offering enough space to store my clothes. There was space to keep my suitcase out of the way, that was a plus for me. Tea making facilities were conveniently available in the room, I used them everyday.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel has convenient on-site parking at the rear, very useful with cars. The location is near public transport, with bus stops for routes to East Cowes and Newport close by. I found the hotel provided easy access to nearby towns.
Service
10/10
The hotel staff were genuinely helpful and also very cute. The service added to the cute feel of my stay I felt.

The room furniture seemed dated. The bedside lockers were worn and the wardrobe was a cheaper item.

i was pleased with the breakfast. it included good options brought quickly. the sea view back to portsmouth was lovely. parking was also helpful.
the mattresses could have been more comfortable. blinds in the family room did not fit the window properly, allowing too much light. this woke everyone early. it could be fixed easily by adjusting the blind position or adding curtains.
