Corran House Guest House enjoys a beautiful location on the bay with some rooms offering gorgeous views. Guests appreciate the good-sized rooms and comfortable beds, along with well-equipped kitchen facilities, ideal for preparing your own meals with provided breakfast options; some have noticed noise from the bar below, though it doesn't bother everyone. Conveniently located, it's just a short walk from the town center and close to Oban's sea fishing pick-up point, making it a very well-priced option for the area.

a lovely escape by the sea

large bathroomwarm furnishingssea view
the large double room sea view, i booked, offered ample space with warm furnishings and a super clean environment. the view out to sea towards lismore was calming, a sight i greeted each morning. the bathroom featured a huge walk in shower with rainfall shower, so refreshing after a day exploring.
the car park charges applied between 9am and 6pm, requiring attention to payment.
Service
9/10
Provisions were available for a continental breakfast for self selection. This allowed for personal choice and relaxed mornings. the guest kitchen had everything one could wish for, so i felt at home. all was clean, a testament to good care.
Location
8/10
Parking was close, within easy reach of the accommodation, though it requires payment. it's a short distance to the ferry port. So trips to nearby islands are easy. i found the position advantageous for exploring.
Dining
10/10
the kitchen provides means for preparing meals. it has lots of cups of tea and all other needed utilities. i could easily have scrambled eggs each morning, great.

loud musicpaid parking
The room overlooked the bar so sleep was a distant dream until the music stopped. I think it ended around 2 am. and the parking wasn't free which was a rude awakening at 9 am when i had to feed the meter. the room was clean i must admit but sleep was really elusive because of the noise from downstairs. i should have packed industrial strength earplugs or maybe just booked elsewhere.

The room was a good size! The strong WiFi was a plus. The bar had a great atmosphere and food, I will say! The location made it easy to walk into town.
The stairs to the top rooms are a bit much with luggage.
