A Beautiful Event Space and Helpful Staff

We visited for a funeral, and the hotel hosted the wake. The event space had a very romantic atmosphere. Chris, Shona, and Stacy looked after us, and I found them kind and happy to help us, a tender service. the stay was lovely despite the circumstances.

The signage for the car park was unclear, which caused some initial confusion upon arrival. I eventually found my way, but better directions would definitely improve the experience.

the staff was very helpful, especially max at reception (he explained all the amenities well). the steak in the restaurant was cooked to perfection. i was treated with care and attention from everyone, lovely.

The breakfast was acceptable. It had a sufficient selection of items.

I was placed in a Standard Single Room and it was tiny. The noise from the street below made it difficult to sleep, even with the windows closed and the dated decor did not help much. The room was like a time capsule, and not in a good way. the promised complimentary toiletries were sparse. I had to request more shampoo from the front desk.
