stuffy roomold carpet
The lack of air conditioning was definitely a problem. My room felt stuffy, and opening the window didn't help much because of the noise outside. The old carpet also seemed like it needed a good cleaning. I even spotted a few questionable stains.

the hotel's location was a definite plus. it faced lille flanders train station. it also had easy access to europe train station nearby. many cafes and restaurants were only a short walk. i found this hotel a very good value for a short stay.
sound insulation wasn't great as noises from the street were noticeable.

the breakfast area, located on the seventh floor, features a terrace that offers a view of the surroundings. rooms have a kettle and complimentary instant coffee.

staff allowed me to leave luggage at no charge before check-in. upon my return for check-in, my luggage was already in my room. the staff speaks fluent english. the staff were helpful in answering questions.

the breakfast was plentiful. there was a variety of options available. many restaurants are located very close to the hotel. guests can find a wide selection of local cuisine nearby.
