The provided breakfast was acceptable.
The room felt quite dated, with old furniture. The cleanliness of the shower room left much to be desired. Its condition was unacceptable. I also noted that electrical items lacked appropriate safety certification.

The breakfast WAS very nice. It included a full English breakfast with coffee and orange juice. The room had MANY items you would not normally see. The staff were VERY hospitable and friendly.
The bed WAS super uncomfortable, it caves, and you can feel the springs. I COULD feel the springs of the mattress on my body. I had body pain all through the day. The area DOESN'T give a safe feeling.

The location provided convenient access to my friend for dinner. the station was only a 20-minute walk away. i enjoyed the cooked breakfast. It was excellent. the host kindly upgraded me to a double room with an ensuite, i appreciate it.
The fridge in the room made some noise on and off during the night. It affected my sleep slightly.

The check-in process was simple. The staff was friendly. I really appreciated the awesome breakfast that only cost me a fiver. The room was quiet. This meant I could get a good night's sleep. I'm used to staying in big chain hotels, but I'll choose this place next time I'm around.
