the location was acceptable, about a 20-minute walk to the city center.
The room lacked a proper wardrobe. A real bummer if you intend to unpack. the bathroom had a weird, lingering smell i couldn't quite place. purple mood lighting. The overall aesthetic was definitely lacking.

A modern gem near the city center

The hotel room felt very clean upon arrival and i found it well equipped. The sound insulation IS quite good. I could occasionally hear the trains a little since they are right below the windows, but it did not affect my sleep. The bed was comfortable with two pillow options.
The air conditioning did not allow for temperature adjustments, i could only change the fan speed.

The hotel provides disability access. THIS is important. There is a functional iron with an ironing board available directly in each room. It's very useful. A nice bar offered drinks.

Breakfast had okay options, though choices are somewhat limited. A nice cafe sits opposite the hotel, should you seek cheaper alternatives. The bar features a happy hour with half-price drinks each day, a nice perk.

The location was convenient, close to the main railway station. It's not too far from the city centre. The hotel is close enough to Switzerland. Day trips to Basel are accessible by car within approximately 40 minutes.

the hotel was very clean, and i appreciated the efficient check-in and check-out processes. the shower had good pressure, refreshing. breakfast featured great coffee.
I found the choice of food in the evening limited, especially for late arrivals. The bar food selection was small.

the breakfast offered a good selection. i found the staff to be quite friendly. the hotel is located a short walk from the train station and the city center it made getting around easy. i also appreciated the comfortable bed in my standard double room
the air conditioning in my room did not work properly despite repeated requests to fix it this made for an uncomfortable stay
