the location is very convenient for walking to the city. a car park at the rear is very useful. the whole hotel was sparkling clean. breakfast was bountiful, well presented and tasty.
the key code changed every day for entry, but i wasn't informed about this. this meant when arriving after an evening out, i was left knocking on the door. it was raining, but thankfully, somebody heard and let me in

the breakfast included quickly served choices i adored. the room had insulation and space i found really good. the victorian charm was perfectly captured i felt. the hotel felt romantic to me.

The breakfast offered a decent start to the day.
The room I received did not match the standards suggested by the price. The bathroom showed significant wear and tear. The shower had noticeable mold, and some of the tiles were cracked (not a pretty sight).

Wonderful Stay Near Blackweir Fields

The hotel had beautiful period features and high ceilings. Parking was great. I find it rare for city hotels. The proximity to Blackweir fields and the castle was very convenient. The building is grand. The pictures online do not do it justice.
The key code changed daily. I wasn't told about this on the second day, so I stood in the rain trying to get in for half an hour, a slight inconvenience.

The room was upgraded upon arrival. It was clean and quite spacious. The bed proved very comfortable for a good night's sleep. The decor complemented the hotel's character tastefully.
The provided towels in the bathroom were rather small for practical use. I found this slightly inconvenient after showering. Larger towels would improve the experience.
