really good ryokan stay!
modern amenities spacious room quiet alleyway peaceful atmosphere
The hotel had modern amenities, a pleasant surprise. our room was spacious compared to other stays in japan. i liked the neighborhood's quiet alleyway and the lovely canal. also the location was a few blocks from touristy areas and close to the subway. It provided a peaceful atmosphere.
The beds and bedding were awful and not very comfortable. This was definitely not perfect.

The room featured traditional japanese decor and a tatami seating area. a cypress wood bathtub was included in the spacious bathroomwith a relaxing experience. kimonos were available for use . The attention to detail enhanced the cultural experience.

The hotel provided complimentary konpeito candy, a sweet gesture. luggage shipping service was available. This ensured a smooth arrival. shoe lockers at the entrance maintained cleanliness throughout the hotel. the hotel also offers umbrellas when it rains.

the staff's english proficiency was excellent, which facilitated easy communication. they provided helpful recommendations, addressing our needs effectively. i really appreciated how they welcomed each person as they entered or left the hotel with a smile. the service was very personal.

Breakfast was delivered daily to the room! this added a special touch. the presentation of breakfast was very appetizing and the variety was perfect. matcha cakes were provided as a good birthday surprise. I was touched by the gesture.

i found the staff very polite and helpful. they provided mobile charging facilities in the room. a microwave was available and very useful (it was a pleasant surprise).
the location required a significant walk. this was somewhat inconvenient.

the staff helped store my luggage before check-in, acceptable.
The in-room breakfast was a letdown! the presentation felt unprofessional and it dripped soup onto the futon. it was too much effort to have breakfast served in the room. I wish i had gone to a cafe instead.

sakura canal delight!
western beds cedar baths special touch
this lovely hotel has western beds, which i appreciate it. i really enjoyed the traditional cedar baths. the staff, wearing kimonos, created a really nice vibe and their little garden added a special touch when i entered. western breakfast was available and gluten free options too, its rare.
the hotel tv are pointless for international guests. they offer fire stick, however it didnt fit into hdmi socket. i found this inconvenient.

the hotel had a great location near a calm area. it was a short walk from the station. several subway stations were also close to the hotel so you can get around.

i found that leaving shoes at reception and using slippers was a nice touch. cypress wood baths are in the rooms. kimono-style bathrobes can be used to.
