the cooked breakfast had many options and endless hot coffee. the bar was cosy. I walked to the downtown area restaurants (it was really close!).
the building exterior was a little dull at first.

the rooms are super clean clean and quite spacious too. the staff were so lovely and helpful, just wonderful! the christmas decorations were a lovely, cozy addition.
the hotel took the money from my card before i arrived, i didn't expect this. the receptionist never apologised at the time.

the bar food and service were top class. i enjoyed the delicious fish and chips. on site parking was very convenient.
the radiator in my room did not work. i was told staff would come to my room with tools to turn it on as the knob was broken. i was given a space heater, but they never came to turn on said radiator.

The check-in process was smooth. Dan and Eddie, the bartenders, played great music from the 70s and 80s. Food tasted beautiful, portions were fantastic, and prices are reasonable. The hotel deal included breakfast, a main course, a carvery voucher, and a late checkout.
The receptionist was rude, which put a damper on the stay.

the receptionist gave a warm welcome at check-in. the bar staff were excellent. the room was clean with a bright spacious bathroom. i really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning on my next business trip. there was also convenient onsite complementary parking available.
i noticed that our room would not lock so i was moved to another room and was not told this was very upsetting. dm was the only nice person i encountered there and was genuinely sorry it happened to me. i would never stay there again after that especially paying 189 for just one night with no breakfast.
