dated decor bad sound proofing
the location was great, close to everything.
The room was very small and the decor seemed quite dated. It needed an update. sound proofing was bad too. I could hear everything from the other rooms. it made relaxing difficult

needed help nearby pubs train station helpful host
the location suited an exhausted walker. the host provided needed help. pubs, a tesco, and the bus stop are really nearby. i was travelling to windermere for my homeward train.
the decor is a bit dated. the room looked tired, i think a small uplift could help.

The location was perfect. Everything was so close. The room had everything I needed. I really appreciated the tea and coffee. The hosts were helpful. They gave great recommendations.

The room had a mini fridge that was very useful. I found a communal kitchen provided milk. The room size was ample and very clean. A large fan ensured comfort.
The main road location made it a bit noisy. I suggest bringing ear plugs for sleeping.

Acceptable, but with some drawbacks
outdated decor noise issue
The location was REALLY convenient for accessing local attractions.
The room felt small, and there was not much space for luggage. The decoration seemed quite outdated, needing some updates (it REALLY felt old). noise from other guests was audible, especially when they used the bathroom.

the room location was close to the lake. it took only minutes to reach lake windermere. the room also had tea and coffee facilities. a shared kitchen was available for all guests.
the room was rather small. it also lacked useful drawer space and i had limited hanging space. the stairs were steep and narrow. it was a challenge to climb them.
