poor lighting hard bed
The location was acceptable, close to local attractions.
The room felt outdated. The bed was hard and the duvet was not big enough for the bed (I expected more for the price). The bar inside had poor lighting.

spacious room quiet room cheerful staff
the rooms were spacious and cleaned. i had a king room garden view and it was pretty quiet. the staff was cheerful, which i found really nice.
the bathroom floor was a bit cold without slippers.

clean room helpful staff noisy bar shabby room
The location was fine. the staff was good. They were very helpful with directions. the room was clean, and i had a kettle with tea and biscuits. i appreciated the hot, easily operated shower.
The window in my room did not close. this meant i could hear noise from the bar and beer garden below, not ideal. also, the breakfast room felt a bit shabby. It looked like the breakfast items were just left out.
