the location suited me perfectly, it was right in the center of the high street. the staff were really very nice, they tried to accommodate all needs. i found the bed very comfortable and the hotel had great parking around the back. the decor by the stairs leading up towards the rooms was my favorite part.
i noticed some dust on the furniture, and the carpets seemed a bit grubby.

the hotel is centrally located. i found it very convenient for restaurants and pubs. parking was excellent. we have stayed in the same standard double room several times, and it is basic but comfortable (which is what i need!).
i noticed a smell of stale cigarettes in the hotel and it needs refurbishment. the shower had mould.

a tired stay, needs some attention

The room was really showing its age. there was damage to the walls, and it looked like no one had bothered to fix it. the bed was not good. The mattress was too thin, and the pillows were hard. the old hairdryer in the wall barely worked, i mean, really?!

the staff were friendly and helpful . the location is unbeatable, right on the high street and near the cathedral. parking was also really convenient, a definite plus. i found the relaxed atmosphere appealing.
The noise from the high street was quite noticeable at night. Secondary glazing could really help.
