Mixed Feelings About My Stay

The location was acceptable, providing easy access to nearby attractions.
My experience had some significant issues. The room smelled strongly of damp, I noticed it as soon as I walked in. the advertised free Wi-Fi was unreliable. The staff were not particularly helpful when I raised this issue. They seemed disinterested.

worn mattressloud bar
the mattress in my premier double room felt worn. i could feel the springs digging into my back all night. furthermore the noise from the bar was quite loud. i heard music and chatter until late, and i found it difficult to sleep. the location of my room above the bar contributed to this issue. this impacted my ability to rest and recover .

a special family weekend

six of us celebrated two 90th birthdays, what a JOY! rooms were warm, even with the radiators off. our waiter, gregg, entertained us during meals, and angel efficiently seated everyone. victoria's friday night performance shone, and diane on saturday was equally fantastic. bingo offered lovely prizes, and i found convenient parking nearby for £14 for 48 hours.
the mattress had springs that were quite uncomfortable, causing some trouble with sleep. i hoped for a replacement or alternative, but a duvet was placed on top, i still felt the springs.
