I received excellent guidance about the city upon arrival, along with a helpful map and precise directions. Breakfast was good, and the server was attentive. The proprietor's clear dedication to local rugby was quite the conversation starter!
The car park proved slightly difficult to locate off the side street behind the building. It was also rather small, made maneuvering a bit challenging.

i found the provided parking very convenient. a lovely garden offered a serene outdoor space. the owner greeted us with a map (that was very helpful), showing us the best route to the quays. it was especially kind to find extra milk, biscuits, and towels outside the door daily, respecting privacy.
the cleaning products smelled strongly of bleach. this aroma was unfortunately persistent throughout my stay. i could not get rid of it even with open windows.

the hotel has a great location for visiting the city centre. it's a short walk into the centre, approximately 10 to 15 minutes on foot, and the path is flat. this makes it easy to access the main attractions without needing a car.

the breakfast is cooked fresh to order (i love that!), though options might be limited. nearby, a tesco express offers convenient access to snacks and drinks. there are also indian restaurants and takeaway places close to the hotel.

the room included a fridge which was useful i also found free parking at the back of the hotel the parking area felt secure. the building had a character reflecting its age the maintenance looked consistent.
the access road to the car park had potholes
