clean room lodge views helpful cupboard
i STAYED in a scafell lodge . This room was SUPER clean. The lodge features great views toward the area. a drying cupboard helped a lot, too.

the room was spacious and comfortable. staff were lovely and helpful. i also noticed it was dog friendly!

lovely stay near the lake
fine scenery dog owners large lawns
the location was beautiful. i spent hours looking from our balcony. the scenery was fine. there are lawns and fields perfect for dog owners right outside the cabin.
the water was sadly lukewarm. showering wasn't the best experience. we only had hand soap initially in our room and had to ask for it.

the hotel has grounds by the lake where we walked up in the morning. we enjoyed a mini hike and great photos overlooking lake windermere. there is a tea and coffee lounge also in the main hall.

the accommodation was ideal for my trekking holiday. it is very close to some good hiking trails and view points like rydal cave. cathedral quarry is also nearby.

there are lots of good food options a short drive away. the tea and coffee lounge offers proper coffee ready made with real milk. this is a nice touch if you want a quick refreshment.

good hiking trails friendly staff great value small courtyard loud door lake facing rooms
the location was great, very close to good hiking trails. view points like rydal cave and cathedral quarry was near. the staff was friendly and accommodating, i found my stay great for the value.
i stayed in a helvellyn 2 this time. it looked out onto a small courtyard in the back instead of the normal lake facing rooms. there was a very loud fire door that kept banging shut and woke me at 2am.
