riverside stay was very good

the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area i liked that each room has an allocated space in the fridge for keeping drinks cool there were also some nice seating areas in the front garden overlooking the river the smart tv was a great addition too.
the stairs to the first floor rooms were quite steep i had some mobility issues.

some drawbacks overshadowed a good location

the location was indeed great, very close to the city centre.
the stairs were quite steep, a real challenge after a day of exploring (i almost fell once). also, the fridge in the room was rather noisy. it kept me awake several times during the night, and i found that quite annoying.

the location was perfect for train travel with a short riverside walk to the city center i found fresh milk provided daily a lovely touch for my room. rob kindly offered parking permits which simplified my arrival. i was impressed with the thoughtful touch of chilled water in the communal fridge
the stairs to the rooms were quite steep which i found a little challenging after long days exploring

the location near the river ouse was perfect. i found many restaurants and pubs within a short walk of ten minutes or so. the owner arranged parking permits, a useful service. our room overlooked the river, a nice feature.
the stairs to the first floor guest rooms are steep.
