the period hotel exuded charm and the rooms were quite modern. i found usb sockets very useful and the power shower a welcome addition. my night's sleep was restful.
the sunday lunch was unavailable after our arrival and the menu choices felt more limited than advertised online.

the location is wonderfully picturesque surrounded by beautiful countryside, ideal for walking. public transport is available with a good bus service and the hotel offers ample parking which is very convenient.
