charming central stay

the hotel was very accommodating to my requests. the location was preserved in its original style. it seemed like staying in a living museum, i loved that! the history and character really shone through, with some natural wear adding to its charm.
the room was cramped and not as clean as i would like, it is a small detail though.

I didn't use the dining facilities much. The lobby bar closed early. it sometimes closed arbitrarily throughout the day, this was a slight inconvenience. i did find other options nearby though.

The location was fantastic, close to a nice cafe and in a quiet area. The staff offered complimentary coffee each morning and suggested many local activities. My room was clean and quite spacious. The beds were very comfortable.
The stairs were steep and narrow. This might be difficult for some guests.

i found the location really solid. it has english tv channels. i appreciated that it was a 15 min walk from centraal station. there was a 7 min walk to the nearest supermarket.
there was no kettle. there was no iron, cup or glass for a drink of water. the towels were tiny hand towels. the stairs to the rooms are also very narrow and steep.
