Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the spacious and spotless apartments, often highlighting the comfortable beds and excellent cooked-to-order breakfast. The hotel's proximity to the beach, just a short walk away, is also a recurring positive point. Many guests enjoy the on-site amenities like the bowling alley and pub, finding the Sunday lunch menu and Cornish Rattler cyder to be of good value; however, some guests have noted that the fire doors in the main building can disrupt sleep. The main building offers a quaint and characterful atmosphere, which many appreciate.

a cozy stay near the beach

lovely hostsquiet beachclean spacegreat value
everything about my visit was great. the hosts, dave and carol, were lovely. (they really go the extra mile.) the entire place felt comfortable and clean. i found it to be more than worth the money i paid. plus, a quiet beach was just down the hill, maybe 200 yards away.
i noticed the stairways could use a little upgrade, mainly the carpet.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel offers a bowling alley and pool tables. I noticed the bowling alley was full size. this added an element of fun, particularly for evening entertainment, and the grounds include a spacious private car park, made arrival smooth.
Location
9/10
the hotel is located a short walk from the beach, roughly five minutes on foot. the immediate area around the hotel is quiet, distanced from the main hustle of the town, yet close enough to easily access amenities, if needed.
Rooms
8/10
The room had a great-sized bed, perfect for a comfortable night. the en suite bathroom was also nice and clean, i found the room to have everything needed for a short stay. The provided breakfast was lovely.
Dining
9/10
I had the sunday lunch. It was a good price. there were several options, including pork, beef, and turkey. The plum crumble with ice cream was a satisfying dessert, and they also served cornish rattler cyder.
