friendly staff great shower modern room cigarette smell dated hotel poor impression
the staff were seriously very friendly and approachable. i was able to crack a few jokes with them. they were very accomodating with my requests. the room was a pleasant surprise. it had a really nice size, and the shower was great. the rooms look more modern than the hotel lobby and hallways.
the whole bottom floor smelt very strongly of cigarettes. it seemed very dated. the free car park was good. however, litter and random items did not give a great first impression. people were hanging out near the entrance, the smoking area!

The hotel included a large car park. CCTV was in operation there and I felt secure leaving my vehicle. The staff were friendly and helpful , and they addressed my questions promptly. The room included a fridge and microwave.
The corridors seemed slightly dated.

cigarette smoke sketchy area
The beds were comfortable enough I suppose.
The room reeked of smoke I suspect people were smoking just outside the windows at night. The area looked a bit sketchy too with an overflowing clothes bank nearby.

helpful welcome ample parking super clean bathroom
Helen provided an helpful welcome. The room contained tea, coffee, and biscuits. The new bathroom sparkled. It was super clean, a good surprise after a long day. I found this feature particularly charming and appreciated the care taken in maintaining the space. I found parking ample and without charge. This made arrival and departure seamless.
The building sign had a missing letter, which slightly impacted the initial impression.

Guest parking is free and convenient. The front desk offered assistance for food options near the hotel. This was useful as I was unfamiliar with the area. A fridge and microwave were also available in my room.

The room included coat hangers in the wardrobe, which I appreciated. A television was functional. The bedroom radiators allowed adjustment, I could ensure optimal sleeping temperature. This feature added to the overall comfort.

The hotel is near to the city center, I walked easily. The area felt relatively quiet, I was away from the main bustle. Access to nearby facilities was straightforward.

There is no food service on the premises. The reception encouraged bringing food into the hotel. This flexibility was useful, I could have my meals as I wanted.

aged corridor cigarette smell
the room was clean and tidy when i arrived, i suppose.
the corridors looked aged and a bit rundown, it must be said. my room had a weird smell, like stale cigarettes and old carpets. the heating didn't work, so i froze all night, it was a disaster. there was also so little soundproofing, i could hear everything happening outside.
