We were greeted with tea and Japanese snacks upon arrival. The city map was quite useful.. it included info about stations, bus stops and restaurants. The room was clean, spacious and well kept. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options.
The bathroom was a bit small for my liking.

the staff offered excellent information about the hotel and surrounding areas, this was helpful. they showed care and attention to detail! the breakfast included fresh fruit. the staff provided extra futons for padding, this was much appreciated.
The onsen across the street was closed . water temperature in the room was inconsistent. the location is a bit far from main attractions. I needed to take a bus.

the staff were super friendly and helpful. i loved that they provided a lot of amenities in the room. it was very kind of them to store our luggage before check-in. they also allowed us to leave our luggage after check-out.
The bathroom felt smaller than i expected. It was a little cramped. the breakfast did not quite meet my expectations. the toaster took a very long time to toast the bread. i found the food options somewhat limited.

the staff had a warm welcome. the breakfast were surprisingly varied. the location were close to everything and i found the bus stop was a short walk away to get you to the gion corner.
We booked superior room, and i felt that the bathroom are very small. i had to stand side way while showering. The space between toilet seat and wall in front of you are very tight. i also saw something like small slice of kiwi in the sink.
