Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
La Rosa Hotel is often described as a unique and quirky experience, quite unlike typical hotels, where you shouldn't expect a TV. Guests love the eccentric English charm, Victorian ambiance, and the museum-like decor. The location is superb, offering amazing views of the Abbey and bay, although some guests have pointed out the lack of a dressing table in some rooms. The comfortable beds, big deep bathtubs, and fabulous breakfast in bedroom service are commonly praised, making it a special place to stay near the heart of Whitby.

The hotel possesses an individual style. Staff members were lovely and helpful. The place was really clean. Quirky finishing touches were amazing. I found the attention to detail perfect.
The parking situation was not good. I had to use on street parking. It was difficult to find a space with a scratch card at a cost.

i loved this unique hotel! the staff was so helpful, and the location was perfect with beautiful views. they provided a parking permit, which took away all the stress of parking!
The stoker room had a cool theme. it was a bit impractical because the bed was against the wall, also the bed was very squeaky, and there wasn't much space to sit or do makeup.

the crows nest on the top floor featured three bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and a separate toilet plus each room had a distinct theme, which my kids loved with its treasure chest of dressing up items. our room offered beautiful views overlooking the harbour, this really added to the experience.

Really good Hotel Experience

great friendlinesshotel reception
The staff exhibited amazing friendliness. I found the attention to detail notable at the reception area. I also noted this level of care in the bedrooms. I liked the provided list of recommendations included on the housekeeping rules sheet.
I experienced a considerable number of stairs to climb. The parking was on the street, requiring a scratch card for a fee. I spent time searching for a parking space.
